About applying for renewal of the approval of an animal for the collection of semen

To move an animal that you have registered for collection of semen to another centre, you must first apply for renewal of the approval of an animal for the collection of semen.

You do not need to take blood samples of the animal concerned. You also do not need a veterinarian certificate unless you are moving the animal due to food mouth disease in the area where the animal is kept. However, you must contact the Department of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries to give them reasons why you want to move the animal.

What you should do

• Contact the Department of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries head office. The contact numbers are below.
• Pay the prescribed fee by cheque, postal order, money order to the Director-General: The Department of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries. If you are going to hand-deliver your application and your application fee, you must make sure you get a receipt of payment. If you are paying your fee through an Electronic Transfer Account, you must pay it into the following account:
