Description
You may apply for a refund for motor vehicle licence fees if your
motor vehicle has been stolen, is permanently unfit for use, or
deregistered.
The application for a refund must be made within three months from
the date of notification of theft or permanent unfitness of the
motor vehicle, or from the date of deregistration.
Note: An amount of less than R30 cannot be refunded.

- Complete form RLF, Application for Refund of Motor Vehicle
Licence Fees.
- Bring the following documents:

- affidavit confirming that the vehicle has been stolen,
permanently unfit for use or a deregistration
certificate.
