Description

This service is for qualified drivers who have lost their driver’s licence. To replace a lost or damaged driver’s licence go to your nearest traffic office.

Steps to follow

  • Go to your nearest traffic office.
  • Complete form DL1, Application for driving licence.
  • Bring the following:
    • identity document or passport
    • two black and white ID photos.
  • Pay the application fee.
  • An eye test will be done on site, and your fingerprints will be taken.

You may also apply for a temporary driver’s licence. For this you will need to pay an additional fee and provide another black and white ID photo.

  • Your new driver’s licence should be ready within four to six weeks.
