Animals products may only be exported if they come from premises that comply with international standards or the legislation of the importing country. These premises could be an approved abattoir, artificial insemination centre, collection centre, farm, feedlot, food processing factory, food storage premises, etc.

Steps to follow
- Contact your nearest Provincial State Veterinarian to apply for an inspection for export registration.
- A provincial State Veterinarian inspects the facility.
- The inspection report is sent to the Department of Agriculture for approval with the PSV motivation and final recommendation.
- If approved, the facility is registered and an export registration certificate is issued.
